ODP Day 3: Woo Pig Sooie

Today I'm representin' my Alma Mater in my Arkansas Razorbacks t-shirt, the dress as a skirt, grey knit tights and my oh-so-awesome red tartan sneakers. All day I wished I had some black leg warmers to complete the ensemble. No, really.

I pulled my hair back into multiple braids like Gwen Stefani (though hers admittedly looks better), because it's rainy and windy here (as usual), and hair is best pulled back when you're slummin' it.

Tonight is Wash Night for the dress. Oh yes, the jokes have been flying, but really, the dress does get washed. Just not every day. However, with Baby Jaguar constantly puking on me (and if you've ever breastfed a baby, you also know about milk stains), I'll probably need to wash more often than I'd have hoped. I also realise I need a washing schedule; for instance, we are going out of town Friday right after Scott gets off work and won't be back until Sunday afternoon. That's already three days of wearing and no washing. So I need to be sure to wash it Thursday night. But it needs washed tonight too, so it'll get two washings in a row. I'll need to plan better next week.

I've got no admirable or noble thoughts to post about today. I'm still in the process of decluttering (and even convinced myself to throw out two more tea mugs!), but there is still so much to do. Tonight, I have a pile of laundry to fold and put away, and I'm really hoping to get some photos taken of stuff to put on ebay. I also need to clean the bathroom and rabbit cage. It's a cleaning night. (Maybe a DVD night too.)

Tomorrow morning, while the kids are at school and nursery, I'm going to tackle their room. This will be 2/3s exhilarating and 1/3 guilt-inducing. This is because I plan on chucking EVERY bit of rubbish they have. There's this box under their bed, and what's it full of? Junk. Happy Meal toys, rocks and shells collected from the beach, bits of paper with drawings on them (nothing nostalgic either), etc. So the box is getting dumped, under the bed is getting cleared and cheap, broken and useless toys are OUT. I just hope they don't notice too much missing.

Yep, this is the month of simplifying. Maybe by Halloween, my house will be so empty, it'll be spooky!
