Apples Galore

I just cored, quartered and peeled 4 pounds of apples to make apple butter, disposed of the cores and peels, only to THEN realise the recipe said to quarter the apples WITHOUT coring and peeling, as the flavour and pectin is in the cores and peels.

So. Annoyed.

Looks like I'll be making a few pies instead.
