A long time ago, I attempted a list of 100 Things I Love About My Husband, naming 10 at a time.
According to my blog archives, I only got to 90 (and can't find 1-30). *EDIT: Found them. They were titled "Why I Love My Husband".
Next week is mine and Scott's 8 year wedding anniversary, so I thought it might be appropriate to finally finish the list. Now, I'm not going to go through all 90 to make sure I don't repeat myself; I'm just going to say 10 more things I can think of now that I love about him.
Then I'll go back and read the old ones, and probably laugh my head off.
91. He plays rough monster chase games with our daughters, and will one day do the same with our son as well.
92. He tries so hard to understand me, even though in many ways I'll always be an enigma to him.
93. Despite the fact that it's hard for him, he willingly accompanies me to social gatherings because he knows it means a lot to me to have him there. He even makes great conversation, and to his surprise, can actually be quite charming!
94. He cleans the kitchen when I ask him to (usually).
95. He insists that I do the things that I enjoy, even when it means he gets left at home with the kids several nights a week.
96. He is focused and intelligent and can do just about anything he puts his mind to.
97. He is incredibly witty and has a smart sense of humour. We share many jokes and find the same things funny.
98. He can BBQ better than any of our friends.
99. He is looking after himself and his health more nowadays, so that he can be a good father and husband to his family for as long as possible.
100. He loves me more unconditionally, more deeply, more devotedly and more passionately than I could ever deserve to be loved. I never, ever have to doubt this. He shows it to me (and tells me) daily.

100 Things I Love About My Husband: 81-90
81. He prays with me at night when he tucks me in.
82. He lets me decorate (and re-decorate) the house any way I like (which means he won't mind the new pink summer duvet on the bed when he gets home this afternoon...)
83. He loves Waffle House. (What? I love that about him.)
84. He wore the new tie I bought him to work today even though I found out at lunch that all his mates teased him about it being too bright. He knew it was too bright, but he wore it anyway to make me happy. (It's a freakin' awesome tie, by the way, how could anyone not like it? I'll post a picture.)
85. He brought me home to a clean house after picking me up at the airport from my holiday.
86. He made himself BBQ chicken and rice when I was gone and was dead proud of himself.
87. He quit his World of Warcraft subscription to spend more time with me. (At least that's what he told me. He told his dad he was just tired of it. Either way, he quit.)
88. He tries really hard to make me happy, and he's doing a great job of it.
89. He works really hard to provide for us.
90. He's the father of our baby.

100 Things I Love About My Husband: 71-80
As I clicked through my Bookmarks Bar this morning to read the (few) blogs that aren't access denied (but will be as soon as the "intelligent filter", ie the IT guys, discover them), I thought, "Man, these bloggers are BORING. No updates in, like, two days?" Then I realised I haven't updated in, like, two years, so I decided I better get off me bum and write something, anything.
One week today is Prizegiving. This, in laymen's terms, means the end of the school session. They have this big, showy private school-type ceremony (I suppose like all schools do to some extent) were they give kids "citizens' awards" and crap. And awards like these:

(...which I made, thanks.)
So the main point of this is to say that one week today will be my last day of work. Then I'm off to the States! I'll be spending two glorious weeks in Arkansas visiting family and friends, and ya'll, I can't wait. I don't know what it is, but once a date is set for visiting home, I suddenly become entirely homesick, whereas I'm fine the rest of the year when a trip isn't planned.
But the terrible thing is I'll be away from Scott that whole time. It hurts my wee heart. We've been apart before for short amounts of time but never two weeks, not since we married. It sucks! So I thought maybe I'd continue on with these:
100 Things I Love About My Husband: 71-80
71. He gets really annoyed at me when I call myself fat, because I'm "insulting [his] wife".
72. He's becoming a big help around the house.
73. He'll say "I love you" on the phone in front of his pals.
74. He lets me take the car to work, even though it's inconvenient for him.
75. He actually (for some unknown reason) thinks I'm sexy.
76. He likes to buy me presents for any old occasion. ("For going to work all week even though you had a cold" or "For sending off a poem to a competition")
77. He doesn't mind eating curry most nights of the week since it's the only thing I like.
78. He supports the right team.
79. He carries my shopping bags (even the ones that say La Senza and Ann Summers on them).
80. He loves his family and is very protective of everyone in it.

100 Things I Love About My Husband: 51-60
51. His smile makes me smile.
52. He is completely different than me. And we love it that way.
53. He plays with my hair when we are laying together talking or thinking.
54. He is following his dreams and going back to school.
55. He thinks he’s shy, but when he gets in a group, he’s a total charmer.
56. He says good-night to both me and Sir Quackenbush IV when we go to bed at night.
57. His accent when he’s talking to his family (relaxed, and not enunciated for my benefit) is still really fascinating to me.
58. He gets sweeter and handsomer every day.
59. First thing he does in the morning when I wake him up is pucker his lips for a kiss.
60. He has a soft enough heart to understand why I couldn’t separate the two kitties.

100 Things I Love About My Husband: 41-50
41. The way he puts on a serious, coherent voice while talking to me in that half-dream state in an effort to convince me he’s not talking utter crap (just before he realises he totally is.)
42. He smells heavenly.
43. He tucks me in and kisses me on the forehead when I go to bed before him.
44. He is super-protective of me. (I think he would kill someone to keep them from hurting me, but I’ve asked him not to so I don’t have to live the rest of my life with an incarcerated husband.)
45. He lets me call the laptop “mine”.
46. He sends me random texts throughout the day that say things like, “Hi sweety, I love you! That is all. Xxx”
47. He would never lay a finger on me (at least not one with ill intent *wink*).
48. He actually believes that “diamonds are a girl’s best friend”.
49. He tells me I drive better than the average woman.
50. He married me.

100 Things I Love About My Husband: 31-40
I realised I ought to change the name of these lists. These aren't reasons WHY I love my husband. I can't say WHY I do, I just do. I do because I can't help myself. I do because of everything, I just love him. But I can easily say what kind of things I love ABOUT him. [By the way, blogger just deleted #31-39 so hopefully I can remember what all I just wrote.]
31. He doesn't mind that I like crap music. (By the way, he just bought me the Ultimate Disney Princesses soundtrack, which made me so happy.)
32. He doesn't have JLS [Jealous Lover Syndrome].
33. He has a nice bum.
34. He always puts me first, above himself.
35. He is faithful.
36. He encourages me to go out with friends; he doesn't try to keep me all to himself. He knows how much I need friends. Cyndi Lauper would be proud. ("I want to be a girl who walks in the sun!")
37. *Censored* This blog is rated PG-13. ;)
38. He let me decorate our bedroom in pink and lavendar. (I included brown to make it a bit more masculine, though. A bit.)
39. Of all the barbecues he could've bought at Homebase, he came home with the pink one for me.
40. He is hilarious.

100 Reasons Why I Love My Husband: 21-30
21. He's the sexiest, most handsome man I know.
22. He can (and does) grow a most fascinating and satisfactory beard.
23. He knows (or for the time being, is familiar with) like seven different programming languages.
24. If I ask him any random question about anything, he seems to always know the answer - from "What kind of bird is that?" to "Explain Einstein's theory of relativity again?" to "What is 00100011 in binary supposed to mean?" (I made up that number. I don't know binary. It's like Scott always says: "There are 10 kinds of people in the world- those who know binary and those who don't." I vaguely get it.)
25. He can do maths in his head. Basically the man is just a genius.
26. He is just the perfect size and shape for spooning.
27. He can admit when he is wrong and is not too proud to say he's sorry.
28. He is a credobaptist, non-cessationist Calvinist. :)
29. In Bible studies and in conversations about theology, I can trust that he won't say anything off topic or out of turn about Calvinism, because he is well-past any kind of "Cage Stage"*. (I don't yet trust myself.)
30. He really loves me.
*The "Cage Stage" is what we call a person who has reformed and thus goes about preaching Calvinism more relentlessly than he preaches, say, the Gospel, because he has been so "enlightened" by this new concept, and therefore ought to be put in a cage. By the way, Arminians can have a Cage Stage, too *cough Gavin*.

100 Reasons Why I Love My Husband: 11-20
11. He sings to me constantly, making up the songs as he goes along.
12. He writes real songs for me and plays them on his guitar in bed.
13. After a fight, he always makes sure to heap loads of love on me to assure me that we are still going to be okay.
14. He's not too tough to cry in front of me.
15. He's beautifully sensitive and loving.
16. He needs me.
17. He makes up characters like the Invisible Monkeys and the Face Bug and then sicks them on me. (The Invisible Monkeys tickle and the Face Bug dances on your face and ears.)
18. He insists that I'm clever and compliments my work.
19. He held me last night as I cried over my cousin leaving for Iraq and prayed for him with me.
20. He buys me stuffed toys all the time. Even when I insist I have too many. He knows I don't mean it.

100 Reasons Why I Love My Husband: 1-10
I've detected an unsatisfactory negativeness in myself lately and in life and in love. Everywhere I look it seems I only see unhappiness, deceit and treachery. I've been made starkly aware lately that "everyone" cheats on their spouse, that "no one" stays married, that lasting happiness in marriage is just a mirage for the naive, and it's been wearing me down something awful. No one seems to know marital bliss anymore; it's all marital blisters. And I've been hardpressed to find any sort of marital Blistex on the market, so I'm joining forces with the many others (the ringleader being The Happy Husband) who have embarked on this endeavour to plough through the marital blizzard and tell you 100 Reasons I Love My Husband. As these others have done, I will go 10 at a time, to save your interest and my ability to be thorough.
1. He loves Jesus.
2. He believes it is important to ground his beliefs in the Bible and not culture or tradition.
3. He loves to eat anything I cook.
4. Instead of throwing my stuffed toys off the bed when he is ready to sleep, he carefully sets them aside in a comfortable sitting position.
5. He tells me I look beautiful and sexy literally every day. Even when I'm sick.
6. In the most unlikely of times, he will take my hands and start dancing a jig with me to whatever song is or isn't playing at the time.
7. He drinks Guinness, not Stella or Bud.
8. He thinks I'm funny.
9. He thinks I'm an amazing poetess.
10. The way he looks closely at me with his big brown eyes when I am sad makes me feel like no one in the whole evil world could ever break in between us and hurt me.
